New in Version 1.4
- Updated to support Gmail's August 2010 update.
- Known issue: This update will not work properly with old versions of the Gmail. If "Compose Mail" looks like a grey button then you have the new version. Otherwise, try Minimalist Gmail version 1.3.
- Known issue: If you use Priority Inbox, Minimalist Gmail won't be able to hide individual toolbar buttons, everything else should work properly. It's beyond the scope of this plugin to be able to support all permutations of Gmail.
New in Version 1.3
- Auto Updates. Finally! Minimalist Gmail is now hosted through the Firefox Add-on site. So when I update you can get the latest automagically.
- Better loading mechanism: It's incredibly difficult to get Minimalist Gmail loaded into Gmail at exactly the right moment. This new version tackles that problem by using a much more precise timing mechanism.
-
Even more minimalism! Now you can remove some of the not-so-necessary links on the left hand nav:
- Compose link (you can 'c' keyboard shortcut instead)
- Labels drop down (keyboard: press 'g' then 'l')
- Contacts link (instead press 'g' then 'c')
- Tasks link (instead, press 'g' then 't')
- If you ever forget just press '?' for Gmail's keyboard shortcut list.
- Removed the "no new mail" yet again. Google keeps moving this around on us.
New in Version 1.2.1
- Removed the "no new mail" once again. Thanks to Robin Grey for letting me know!
New in Version 1.2
- Now supports Firefox 3.6
- Improved the way Minimalist Gmail loads to fix a bug where the menu occasionally wouldn't appear.
New in Version 1.1a
Hidden search is now fully hidden in more themes.
New in Version 1.1
- Search now works when the header is hidden. It's still invisible, but hover the mouse over it and you'll see it. Even better, turn Gmail shortcuts and you can type slash '/' to start searching.
- Now you can hide the Archive and Delete buttons.
- If you hide all of the inbox buttons the entire button bar will hide.
